Why are there so many people who are obsessed with the number of followers they’re getting for their Tumblr blogs? Are the numbers of cardinal importance, or are they meant to feed a growing ego? Perhaps our virtual ‘social’ interactions will be measured from now on, by our number of followers on Twitter, Tumblr, and you name it. Don’t we all wear masks in real life, and hide behind pixels in virtual reality, ultimately?
